It is a steam dumpling which consists of an external coverage rice flour and inner feelings of chaku or khuwa. It is mostly prepare on the festival of Newar community which is known as ‘Yomari Purne’. According to Newars the triangular shape of the yomari is a symbolic representation of one-half of the shadkona, the symbol of wisdom and Saraswati.
